L’ANDOS COMITATO DI VELLETRI PARTECIPERA’ ALLA RACE FOR THE CURE 2012, LA CORSA CONTRO IL TUMORE AL SENO
La lotta contro il tumore al seno passa anche attraverso una corsa podistica. Sono sufficienti forza nelle gambe e un simbolo di colore rosa per far comprendere alle persone che sosteranno lungo le Terme di Caracalla che la malattia si può e si deve sconfiggere. Anche l’Andos Comitato di Velletri (Associazione Nazionale Donne Operate al Seno) parteciperà all’edizione 2012 della Race for the Cure, la corsa di cinque chilometri con passeggiata di 2 chilometri, organizzata dalla Susan Komen Italia, che si svolgerà il 20 maggio a Roma e che ha proprio lo scopo di sensibilizzare donne e uomini nei confronti di questo particolare tipo di neoplasia, che colpisce sempre più donne ma che è, per fortuna, sempre più sconfitta. La prevenzione è l’arma vincente, assieme alle cure adeguate, ma serve soprattutto attenzione nei confronti delle tantissime donne colpite dal tumore al seno, perché vengono ferite nella loro intima femminilità.
Le migliaia di donne che ogni anno partecipano, manifestano la loro forza di vivere, la loro voglia di lottare, la bellezza e la serenità che traspare dai volti chi ha vinto contro “l’alieno” come lo definiva Oriana Fallaci. L’Andos Comitato di Velletri parteciperà alla Race for the Cure il giorno 20 maggio, per chi volesse iscriversi alla corsa o alla passeggiata può recarsi presso la sede Andos di via delle Mura, 49 a Velletri. Il punto d’iscrizione rimarrà aperto tutti i giovedì pomeriggio dalle 16.00 alle 18.00 e il sabato dalle 9.00 alle 12.00. Partecipate numerosi, iscrivetevi, indossate qualcosa di rosa e divertitevi, perché il sorriso e la grande voglia di vivere possono essere elementi importanti verso la guarigione. Solo partecipando tutti assieme a manifestazioni del genere possiamo trovare la forza e le risorse per sconfiggere il cancro.
